Then click on the Set Desktop button to display the new background Finder pattern. The Desktop Pictures control panel (only in MacOS 8.x) contains nearly all the patterns from it's predecessor "Desktop Patterns" control panel. Just slide the handle along the bar to view all the available patterns. To get rid of a Desktop Picture, and replace it with a pattern, you need to go into "Picture", and click on Remove Picture.
